Small casting defects which can hardly or only at high costs be avoided generate sometimes catastrophies by corrosion and material fatigue.

Example: collapse of the Silver Bridge, Ohio, 1967. 46 people died, 9 were heavily wounded.

In the same year, DIAMANT formulated the repair-series Liquid-Metals to correct such defects and
avoiding such casting defects perfectly and priceworthy.
